Everything has changed. Nothing is the same. How do we survive? How do we push through? How do we continue to grow when cash flow is a factor for everyone?
These are the questions that we, as business owners are asking ourselves every day. As we continue to fight to stay afloat during this unprecedented pandemic we can’t help but wonder if our fight is over.
Well, the fight isn’t over until the fat lady sings and I haven’t heard her belt out that last note yet.
So let’s strategize.
The first thing you need to ask yourself is this – if companies are pausing on outside vendors how do I shift my offering to one that they will still purchase? The answer is to make yourself relevant. Now obviously every company will be different, but in many cases, companies are reducing costs for one thing to pay for another. And whether they want to admit it or not, digital strategy services such as marketing and public relations are still necessary and needed. They too have to pivot to keep their business going. How can you help them craft a new marketing message that appeals to their new need? Their new need is the pivoted service offering that their new and old costumers will need. In what new way can you deliver your services that makes it different from before but necessary under our “new normal” conditions?
Think about it – new services require marketing. There is no way around that. They require strategic marketing that can cut through all the noise that everyone is hearing and shine a spotlight on you. This is how you become relevant. You have to change your mind and your thinking and steer it away from what you were doing, even if it was working well. Assess if that service is still valid during these times and if not, determine what pieces of it need to change; whether in its entirety or in parts.
Thing Bigger.
That is one of our core values. Think beyond what you once thought was normal. Think pie in the sky. YES think that big. Open up your brain to all the possibilities and you can continue to thrive.
